AMBASSADOR OF THE FRENCH REPUBLIC TO GEORGIA VISITED COAST GUARD DEPARTMENT OF THE BORDER POLICE

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Georgia, Olivier Courteaud, visited the Coast Guard Department of the Georgian Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

CORE TEAM OF SUBSTANTIAL NATO – GEORGIA PACKAGE VISITED COAST GUARD DEPARTMENT OF BORDER POLICE OF GEORGIA

A leadership and expert delegation from the Core Team of the Substantial NATO-Georgia Package (SNGP) and the SNGP Maritime Security Initiative (MSI) visited the Coast Guard Department of the Georgian Border Police and the Joint Maritime Operations Centre (JMOC) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

BORDER POLICE SEIZED LARGE AMOUNT OF DRUGS – ONE PERSON IS DETAINED

Officers of the Operational-Investigative Department of the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have detained a person for attempting to illegally purchase and store a large amount of drugs. Detained person has a criminal record.

Official Visit of the Georgian Coast Guard Delegation to NATO Allied Maritime Command (MARCOM)

A delegation from the Coast Guard Department of the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia paid an official visit to the NATO Allied Maritime Command (MARCOM), located in Northwood, United Kingdom.

The employees of Operative – investigative Department of MIA Border Police detained 4 persons for illegal crossing and for the attempt of illegal crossing of the State Border.

As part of the events dedicated to Georgia’s Independence Day on May 26, the Ministry of Internal Affairs hosted citizens in the city of Gori.

The ceremonial event was attended by the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Sulkhan Tamazashvili, and the Vice Prime Minister and State Minister for Coordination of Law Enforcement Agencies, Mamuka Mdinaradze. They toured the exhibition areas presented as part of the event.
