The Officers of the Coast Guard Department of MIA Border Police participated in the official ceremony of taking the Cadet Oath at the Midshipmen Academy of the Hellenic Navy.
BORDER POLICE DETAINED 3 PERSONS FOR ILLEGAL CROSIING OF THE STATE BORDER
The employees of MIA Border Police, on the area of the responsibility of the Border Sector “ Kirnati” of Batumi Division and in the village of “Kedkedi’ of the Municipality of Khelvachauri, as a result of the operative – investigative measures, detained 3 persons (SH. N. Born in 1984; I.Q. Born in 1965 and I.K. Born in 2005) for the fact of the illegal crossing of the State Border.
DIVING TRAINING WAS CONDUCTED FOR THE EMPLOYEES OF THE COAST GUARD DEPARTMENT
The Diving Training was conducted for the employees of the Coast Guard Department of the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs at the “Poti” Base, organized by the United States European Command (EUCOM).

The Officers of the Border Police of Georgia and the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of joint operative – investigative measures, detained an Indian citizen (V.G. Born in 1997), who was wanted by Interpol for committing a particularly serious crime.

The employees of MIA Border Police, on the area of the responsibility of the Border Sector “Sarphi” of Batumi Division detained 2 persons of the foreign countries (C.C. Born in 1996 and V.K. Born in 1996) for the fact of the attempt of illegal group crossing of the State Border.
BORDER POLICE DETAINED 3 PERSONS FOR THE FACT OF ILLEGAL CROSSING AND ATTEMPT OF ILLEGAL CROSSING OF THE STATE BORDER
The employees of MIA Border Police, on the area of responsibility of the Border Sectors: “Kirnati” and “Sarphi” of Batumi Division, as a result of operative – investigative measures, detained 3 persons of foreign countries (M.M. Born in 2001; A.Sh. Born in 1995 and A.T. Born in 1986) for the fact of illegal crossing and attempt of illegal crossing of the State Border.
THE HEAD OF BORDER POLICE HOSTED THE DELEGATION OF THE EMBASSY OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
Colonel Davit Tamazashvili, Chief of the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, met with Jamie Shufflebarger, Director of the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), U.S. Embassy in Georgia, and Karen Chaisson, Advisor to the U.S. Export Control and Related Border Security (EXBS) Program.
REPRESENTATIVES OF THE COAST GUARD DEPARTMENT OF THE BORDER POLICE PARTICIPATED IN THE GLOBAL COAST GUARD SUMMIT
The Head of the Coast Guard Department of MIA Border Police, Yuri Pirtskhalaishvili and Deputy Head of the Operations Management Main Division of the Coast Guard Department, participated in the International Event of the Fourth Plenary Session of the Mediterranean Coast Guard Forum and the Global Coast Guard Summit in Rome, Italy.
MINISTER OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS OF GEORGIA GEKA GELADZE MET WITH THE LEADERSHIP OF THE BORDER POLICE
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Geka Geladze met with the leadership of the Border Police. The Minister received detailed information from the Head of the Border Police, Davit Tamazashvili and the Heads of the Departments about the activities of the Border Police, including the Coast Guard, Land Border Protection and Special Purpose Aviation Departments.

Q. Born in 1981; H.O. Born in 1998 and E.SH. Born in 2001) for the attempt of illegal crossing and for the fact of illegal crossing of the State Border.

Defence Attachés from the various countries accredited in Georgia, visited the “Poti “Base of the Coast Guard Department of the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Joint Maritime Operations Centre (JMOC).

The employees of the Operative – Investigative Main Division’s East Investigative Service, as a result of operative – investigative measures, detained 1 person of the foreign country and 1 person of Georgia (B.I. Born in 1998 and N.TS. Born in 1993) for the illegal crossing of the State Border of Georgia.
