The Joint Maritime Operations Centre of MIA Border Police was visited by the Deputy Head of U.S. Global Maritime Operational Threat Response Coordination Center (GMCC), Mr. Brian Wilson, National Intelligence Manager for Maritime of National Maritime Intelligence – Integration Office, Mr. Joseph Cunningham and the Representative of US Coast Guard, Captain Jon Driskoll.

MIA BORDER POLICE DETAINED 4 PERSONS OF FOREIGN COUNTRIES FOR ILLEGAL CROSSING OF THE STATE BORDER

Border Policemen of MIA Border Police carried out operative – investigation measures, on the protected area of Border Sector “Sarphi” of the Batumi Division of Georgian Border Police and detained 4 Citizens of the Republic of Turkey (A.D. born in 1991; I. E. born in 1997; I.A born in 1994; E.A. born in 1970) for the fact of illegal group crossing of the State Border.

ANALYTICAL COURSE WAS CONDUCTED FOR THE EMPLOYESS OF COAST GUARD DEPARTMENT OF MIA BORDER POLICE

Analytical course was conducted for the Employees of the Coast Guard Department of MIA Border Police at the Maritime Academy of Batumi. The training was conducted by the representatives of U.S. Navy – NIWC Pacific, in the framework of Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) Project on the Black Sea.

MIA BORDER POLICE DETAINED 2 PERSONS OF FOREIGN COUNTRIES FOR ILLEGAL GROUP CROSSING OF THE STATE BORDER

Border Policemen of MIA Border Police carried out operative – investigation measures, on the protected area of Border Sector “Sarphi” of the Batumi Division of Georgian Border Police and detained 2 Citizens of the Republic of Pakistan (A.E. born in 1992 and S. H. born in 1999) for the illegal group crossing of the State Border.

MOUNTAINEERING TRAINING WAS CONDUCTED FOR THE SERVICEMEN OF RAPID RESPONSE MAIN DIVISION OF MIA BORDER POLICE BY US INSTRUCTORS

The Special training was conducted for the Servicemen of the Rapid Response Main Division by the US instructors on the ,,Lilo” Base of the MIA Border Police and also, on the territory of ,,Birtvisi”. The training included theoretical, as well as practical field parts.

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT AND VEHICLES WERE HANDED OVER TO THE BORDER POLICE WITH THE SUPPORT OF THE EUROPEAN UNION

Border surveillance systems, off road vehicles and buses were handed over to the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
