Our mission is to protect the state border of Georgia, the boundary line, the border zone and the Georgian maritime space, per the legislation of Georgia, to ensure the security of the country and the population.
In 2020, the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs charged 92 foreign nationals with illegal crossing and an attempt to cross the state border of Georgia, among them: 35 Turkish nationals, 9 Indian nationals, 4 Iranian nationals, 4 Palestinian nationals, 1 Moroccan national and 1 Algerian national.
