Our mission is to protect the state border of Georgia, the boundary line, the border zone and the Georgian maritime space, per the legislation of Georgia, to ensure the security of the country and the population.
The Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, from June 1 of 2025 to January 1 of 2026, prosecuted 257 citizens of the various countries for illegally crossing or attempting of illegal crossing of the State Border of Georgia, including: 153 citizens of the Republic of Turkey; 38 citizens of the Republic of Georgia; 2 – Republic of Armenia; 7 – Russian Federation; 3 – Republic of Uzbekistan; 15 – Islamic Republic of Pakistan; 4 – Republic of India; 5 – Republic of Yemen; 1 – Federal Republic of Somalia; 12 – Republic of Azerbaijan; 1 – Republic of Iraq; 1 – Islamic Republic of Iran; 4 – People’s Republic of Bangladesh; 1 – Kingdom of Morocco; 3 – Republic of Cuba; 1 – Kingdom of Netherlands; 1 – Republic of Poland; 1 – Republic of Kazakhstan; 1 – Arab Republic of Egypt; 1 – Republic of Ethiopia; 1 – Ukraine; 1 citizen – Federal Republic of Germany.
