Our mission is to protect the state border of Georgia, the boundary line, the border zone and the Georgian maritime space, per the legislation of Georgia, to ensure the security of the country and the population.
From June 2024 till January 2025, Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia charged 233 citizens of the various countries for the illegal crossing and the attempt of illegal crossing of the State Border of Georgia, among them: 118 from the Republic of Turkiye; 22 from the Republic of Georgia; 8 from the Republic of Azerbaijan; 1 - Arab Republic of Egypt; 54 - Islamic Republic of Pakistan; 2 - Kingdom of Morocco; 3 - Islamic Republic of Iran; 8 - Syrian Arab Republic; 3 - Republic of Uzbekistan; 1 - Republic of South Africa; 3 – Russian Federation; 4 – Republic of Armenia; 3 – Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal; 1 – Republic of Romania; 2 – People’s Republic of China.
