BORDER POLICE DETAINED 2 PERSON FOR THE ILLEGAL CROSSING OF THE STATE BORDER AND FOR SMUGGLING OF THE MIGRANT IN ADJARA

The employees of MIA Border Police, Patrol Police Department and Revenue Service, according to the joint operative and investigative measures, detained 2 persons of the Republic of Türkiye (I.I. Born in 1974 and U.G. Born in 1995) for the illegal crossing of the State Border of Georgia and for smuggling of the migrant.

The crime envisages imprisonment up to 5 years.

The employees of Border Police detained I.I. on the territory of the check point “Sarphi”, when he illegally transported a citizen of the Republic of Türkiye: U.G, from Türkiye in a truck, he was driving, bypassing passport control and hiding him in the trailer of the vehicle. He was, also, detained as a suspect.

For the fact of the illegal crossing of the State Border of Georgia and for smuggling of the migrant, the investigation is ongoing under the article 344 and 3441 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.

The employees of MIA Border Police, on the area of the responsibility of the Border Sector “Sarphi” of Batumi Division, as a result of operative – investigative measures, detained 2 citizens of the foreign countries (O.Q. Born in 1994 and C.O. Born in 2000) for the fact of illegal, group crossing of the State Border of Georgia.
