MIA BORDER POLICE DETAINED 3 PERSONS FOR THE ATTEMPT OF MIGRANTS SMUGGLING ON THE STATE BORDER

The Employees of MIA Border Police, Patrol Police Department and Custom Department of Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance, carried out joint operative – investigative activities and detained 3 persons for the attempt of illegal crossing of the state border and migrants smuggling.

MEDICAL TRAINING WAS CONDUCTED FOR THE EMPLOYEES OF THE BORDER POLICE

Medical Training was conducted for the employees of the Coast Guard Department and Land Border Protection Department of MIA Border Police in the University of Batumi, Coast Guard Batumi base and adjacent maritime space.

Parliament of Georgia has ratified an international, interagency agreement – “Technical Agreement between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and Ministry of the National Defense of the Hellenic Republic, regarding the Participation of Coast Guard Personnel of Ministry of Internal Affairs State Subordinate Entity - Border Police of Georgia on Board Hellenic Navy Ships during Maritime Operation “SEA GUARDIAN”.

Border Policemen of MIA Border Police carried out operative – investigative measures, on the protected area of the Border Sector “Sadakhlo” of the Red Division of Georgian Border Police and detained 2 citizens of Georgia (Kh.Kh. Born in 1966 and A.A. Born in 1987) for the fact of the illegal group crossing of the State Border.

COAST GUARD DEPARTMENT HOSTED STUDENTS AND PROFESSORS OF BATUMI STATE MARITIME ACADEMY

The Students and Professors of Batumi State Maritime Academy visited “Poti” Base of Coast Guard Department of MIA Border Police.

Border Policemen of MIA Border Police carried out operative – investigative measures, on the protected area of Border Sector “Niala” of Akhaltsikhe Division of Georgian Border Police and detained for the fact of attempt of illegal group crossing of Georgian State Border 2 citizens of the Republic of Ukbekistan (B.B. born in 1986 and D.M. Born in 1992), also for the attempt of 2 migrants smuggling on the State Border, 2 citizens of Georgia (T.T. Born in 1985 and A.B. Born in 1976). The crime envisages imprisonment up to 5 years.

Military – Lebanon Maritime Forces’s Delegation visited the Base of Coast Guard of MIA Border Police and Joint Maritime Operations Centre (JMOC).

The head of the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs - Nikoloz Sharadze met with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic of Greece - Maria Theodorou.

Border Policemen of MIA Border Police carried out operative – investigative measures, on the protected area of Border Sector “Vale” of Akhaltsikhe Division of Georgian Border Police and detained the citizen of the Kingdom of Jordan (A. SH. Born in 2000), the citizen of the Syrian Arab Republic (A.O. Born in 2001) and the citizen of the Republic of Turkey (A.Q. Born in 2000). The crime envisages imprisonment from 4 year up to 5 years.

Border Policemen of MIA Border Police carried out operative – investigative measures, on the protected area of Border Sector “Kartsakhi” of Akhaltsikhe Division of Georgian Border Police and detained 2 citizens of the Republic of Turkey (I.M. Born in 1977 and J.Ch. Born in 1973) for the fact of illegal group crossing of the State Border of Georgia.

Border Policemen of MIA Border Police carried out operative – investigative measures, on the protected area of Border Sector “Kartsakhi” of Akhaltsikhe Division of Georgian Border Police and detained 2 citizens of the Republic of Turkey (H. E. Born in 1997; A.T. Born in 1989) for the fact of illegal group crossing of the State Border.

EXERCISE WAS CONDUCTED FOR THE EMPLOYEES OF COAST GUARD DEPARTMENT

Two week Exercise was conducted for the employees of the Coast Guard Department of MIA Border Police in Poti, at the Georgian Coast Guard base.
