The Employees of MIA Border Police, as a result of operative – investigative measures, on the area of responsibility of the Border Sector “Sarphi” of Batumi Division, detained 5 citizens of foreign countries (I.A. Born in 1984; P.A. Born in 1990; A.G. Born in 1987; M.I. Born in 1988 and H.B. Born in 1980 for the fact of illegal group crossing of the State Border of Georgia.
The crime envisages imprisonment up to 5 years.
The investigation revealed, that accused persons avoiding the check point, from the Republic of Turkiye to the direction to Georgia, implemented illegal group crossing of the State Border of Georgia.
The investigation is ongoing under the article 344, Part II, Subparagraph “A” of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which implies illegal group crossing of the State Border of Georgia.
