30 off-road vehicles were handed over to the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, under the coordination of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and with the financial assistance of the European Union.

Within the Standing NATO Maritime Group TWO (SNMG2) port call to Georgia the NATO force conducted combined maritime trainings in the Black Sea with the Coast Guard Department under the MIA Border Police of Georgia.

The Georgian Coast Guard of MIA Border Police is hosting Standing NATO Maritime Group TWO (SNMG2) in the territorial waters of Georgia. SNMG2 includes: CRISTOBAL COLON - FLAGSHIP (Spain), REGINA MARIA (Romania), KEMALREIS (Turkey) and SMELI (Bulgaria). The Maritime Group is led by Rear Admiral Manuel Aguirre Aldereguía, Commander of NATO’s SNMG2.

Ministry of Internal Affairs exposed the fact of human trafficking – 2 persons detained

The officers of Border Police along with Samtskhe-Javakheti regional prosecutor’s office as a result of jointly held investigative and operative activities exposed the fact of human trafficking in Ninotsminda municipality. Law enforcers detained father and son- B.Ts. (DoB 1960) and M.Ts. (DoB 1994) for human trafficking committed against three individuals.
