Members of the Defense and Security Committee (DSC) and the Sub-Committee on the Future Security and Defence Capabilities (DSCFC) of NATO Parliamentary Assembly (NATO PA) visited Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia. The Head of MIA Border Police, General Major Nikoloz Sharadze hosted the guests. With NATO Parliamentary Assembly delegation, General Sharadze, discussed the priorities and ongoing projects of the Border Police of Georgia.

The Head of The MIA Border Police hosted the Delegation of the State Border Guard Service of the Republic of Lithuania

The delegation of the State Border Guard Service of the Republic of Lithuania, led by the Head of the State Border Guard Service of Lithuania, General Rustamas Lyubaevs, paid an official visit to the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia. The guests were hosted by the Head of the MIA Border Police of Georgia, General-Major Nikoloz Sharadze.

Coast Guard of Georgian Border Police recieves 4 patrol boats by the support of EU and IOM

Operational capabilities of the Coast Guard department of MIA Border Police of georgia is increased by commissioning of 4 ,,defender” type modern patrol boat. Acquisition and handing over of the boats, was implemented in the framework of the“SAFE” Project, by the financial support of European Union (EU) and with the coordination of International Organization of Migration in Georgia (IOM).

MOIA Border Police Detained 2 Foreign Citizens for Illegal Group Crossing of the State Border.

The Border Policemen of the Ministry of Internal Affairs carried out operative-investigation measures, on the protected area of the Border Sector "Vale" of Akhaltsikhe Division and detained 2 citizens of the Republic of Turkey ( I.I born in 1983 and M.A. born in 1978) on the fact of illegal group crossing of the State Border of Georgia.

Georgian Border Policemen carried out operative – investigation measures, on the protected area of the Border Sector “Kirnati” of Batumi Division and detained 1 citizen of Azerbaijan Republic (P.I. born in 1996) and 2 citizens of the Republic of Turkey (S.H. Born in 1990 and Ch. K. born in 1989) on the fact of illegal group crossing of the State Border of Georgia.

The delegation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia headed by the Deputy Minister - Giorgi Butkhuzi, paid a working visit to the Republic of Latvia. Decommissioning Ceremony of Patrol Ship “KUTAISI” was held on the Poti Base of Georgian Coast Guard

The official Decommissioning Ceremony of the Patrol Ship “KUTAISI” was held at the Poti Coast Guard Base of the MIA Border Police of Georgia. During 50 years Patrol ship “KUTAISI” performed very important missions under the Naval Forces of Republic of Turkey, as well as under the Coast Guard of Georgian Border Police.

MIA Border Police seized more than 10 kg heroin and detained 2 foreign citizens

The Georgian Border Policemen, according to the operative – investigation measures, on the protected area of the Border Sector “Vakhtangisi” detained two citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan: Person: U.T. born in 1998 and person: E.M. born in 1989.
