HEAD OF BORDER POLICE PAID TRIBUTE TO THE HEROES KILLED IN THE AUGUST WAR

The Head of MIA Border Police, Nikoloz Sharadze and the Director of the Coast Guard Department, Ramaz Papidze, laid a wreath at the Memorial of Heroes killed during the Russia-Georgian War, in August 2008.

The family members of the Heroes and the representatives of the local municipality attended the event.

In 2008, as a result of the aggression of the Russian occupation forces, 5 Navy servicemen were killed at the Poti Base.
