MIA BORDER POLICE DETAINED 4 PERSONS FOR THE SMUGGLING OF THE MIGRANT AND ILLEGAL GROUP CROSSING OF THE STATE BORDER

The Employees of MIA Border Police, Patrol Police Department and Custom Department of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance, carried out joint operative- investigative activities and detained 4 persons for the migrant’s smuggling (two or more persons’ smuggling) and for illegal group crossing of the State Border.

The investigation revealed, that the citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan (C.B. Born in 1982) hiding in his truck the migrants: the citizens of the Republic of Turkey (A.U. Born in 1993; T.O Born in 1998) and the citizen of Moldova (T.D. Born in 1985), avoiding the check point “Sarphi”, illegally crossed the State Border.

The crime envisages the imprisonment up to 5 years.

The investigation is ongoing under the article 344, Part II, Subparagraph “A” and under the article 344, Part II, Subparagraph “B”.
