Oil Tanker “STEN NEPTUN” under the Flag of Denmark was detained by the employees of the Coast Guard Department of the Georgian Border Police for the violation of the rules of Navigation in the Georgian Territorial Waters.

US INSTRUCTORS CONDUCTED TRAINING FOR THE EMPLOYEES OF GEORGIAN BORDER POLICE

The Special Training on the implementation of the group operations was conducted for the employees of the Rapid Response Main Division and Land Forces Protection Department of the MIA Border Police by the US Instructors. The Training was conducted on the base “Lilo” of MIA Border Police.

MIA Delegation payed an official visit to the Republic of Poland

The Head of MIA Border Police, Major General Nikoloz Sharadze and the Head of Patrol Police Department, Colonel Vaja Siradze attended Frontex 25th International Border Police Conference in Warsaw. The main theme of the Conference was the preparedness and contingency planning for emergencies at the borders.

MIA BORDER POLICE DETAINED 3 PERSONS FOR ILLEGAL GROUP CROSSING OF THE STATE BORDER

Border Policemen of MIA Border Police carried out the operative – investigation measures, on the protected area of the Border Sector “Chirukhi” of Batumi Division of Georgian Border Police and detained the citizens of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan (A.S. Born in 1998; Sh.A. Born in 2002 and Z.P. Born in 1985) for the illegal group crossing of the State Border of Georgia.

The Head of Border Police Hosted US Under Secretary

The Head of MIA Border Police, Major General Nikoloz Sharadze met with the US Under Secretary for Arms Control and International Security, Bonnie Denis Jenkins. The aim of the visit was to discuss the activities of the Border Police and future cooperation.

US Instructors Conducted Training for 25 Employees of Georgian Border Police

At the “Chirukhi” Land Border Sector, special training was conducted for the 15 personnel of the Rapid Response Main Division and 10 Border Guards of the Land Forces Protection Department of MIA Border Police.

MIA Border Police detained three persons for the Human Smuggling attempt

Border Guards of MIA Border Police of Georgia, together with the prosecutor’s Office of Autonomous Republic of Adjara, based on judge’s order detained two Georgian citizens (G.G. born in 1988 and K.S. born in 1993) and one citizen of the Republic of Turkey (I. F born in 1977) on Georgia-Turkish State Border for the attempt of Human Smuggling. The crime envisages imprisonment from 2 years up to 5 years.

Georgian Coast Guard hosted NATO Allied Maritime Command Staff Members and Mobile Training Team

The representatives of NATO Allied Maritime Command staff and Mobile Training Team (MTT) visited the Coast Guard Department of MIA Border Police. The Director of Georgian Coast Guard, Captain Ramaz Papidze hosted the NATO Delegation.

Border Policemen of MIA Border Police carried out the operative – investigation measures, on the protected area of the Border Sector “Kartsakhi” of Akhaltsikhe Division of Georgian Border Police and detained 2 citizens of the Republic of Turkey: (S.A Born in 1994 and I.Z born in 1973), also, the citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan (G.A born in 1983) and a citizen of Georgia (S.A born in 2000) wanted for committing a serious crime.

MIA Border Police Detained 2 persons for illegal crossing of the State Border and for Drug Crime

Border Policemen of MIA Border Police carried out operative – investigation measures on the protected area of the Border Sector “Sadakhlo” of the Red Bridge Division of the Border Police and detained two citizens of the Republic of Armenia: (A.KH. Born in 1998 and D.M. Born in 1996).
