The Employees of MIA Border Police as a result of operative – investigative measures on the area of responsibility of the Border Sector “Sarpi” of Batumi Division, detained 5 persons of foreign countries: (M. KH. Born in 1986; E.R. Born in 1995; A.A. Born in 1994; Z.G. Born in 1974 and S.CH Born in 1993) for the attempt and illegal group crossing of the State Border of Georgia.

The crime envisages imprisonment from 4 years up to 5 years.

The investigation revealed, that accused persons avoiding the check point, from Georgia to the Republic of Turkey, tried illegal group crossing of the State Border. Also, 2 accused persons illegally crossed the State Border of Georgia from the Republic of Turkey.

The investigation is ongoing under the article 19, 344, Part II, Subparagraph “A” and the article 344, Part II, Subparagraph “A” of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which means the attempt of the illegal group crossing of the State Border and illegal group crossing of the State Border.
