BORDER POLICE DETAINED 2 FOREIGN COUNTRIE CITIZENS FOR UNLAFWUL PURCHASING, STORING AND CARRYING OF FIREAMS AND AMMUNITION

The Employees of MIA Border Police carried out operative – investigative operation in Batumi
and detained 2 foreign country citizens (H.M. Born in 2005) and (H.S. Born in 2000) for unlawful purchasing, storing and carrying of firearms and ammunition.

The crime envisages imprisonment from 3 years up to 7 years.

Law enforcement officers seized a pistol, 2 magazines and 46 cartridges as an evidence after the inspecting of H.M. As well as seized a firearm, 7 magazines and 268 cartridges as an evidence after conducting the search in the apartment of H.S.

The investigation is ongoing under the article 236, Part III of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
