MIA BORDER POLICE DETAINED 2 PERSONS OF FOREIGN COUNTRIES FOR ILLEGAL GROUP CROSSING OF THE STATE BORDER

Border Policemen of MIA Border Police carried out operative – investigative measures, on the protected area of Border Sector “Kartsakhi” of Akhaltsikhe Division of Georgian Border Police and detained 2 citizens of the Republic of Turkey (H. E. Born in 1997; A.T. Born in 1989) for the fact of illegal group crossing of the State Border.

The crime envisages imprisonment from 4 year up to 5 years.

The investigation revealed, that accused persons avoided check point and tried illegal group crossing from Georgia to the direction to the Republic of Turkey. Also, after the searching procedures, it was discovered that accused persons had 266 fake 50 US dollar banknotes. Total amount equaled to 13 300 US dollars.

The investigation is ongoing under the article 19 - 344, Part II, Subparagraph “A” of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
