The Head of MIA Border Police, Major General Nikoloz Sharadze met the Military Attaché, Colonel Burak Altiner.

The Deputy Military Attaché of Türkiye to Georgia/SNGP Maritime Security Advisor, Lieutenant Commander (Navy) Kenan Malay and the Deputy Military Attaché, a Liaison Officer of MIA Border Police, Captain Adnan Kutay Yüksel were attended the meeting.

Bilateral cooperation issues were discussed during the meeting by the parties.

The Head of MIA Border Police, Major General Nikoloz Sharadze expressed the gratitude regarding the fruitful cooperation between the MIA Border Police of Georgia and the General Staff of the Republic of Türkiye, also regarding longstanding relations with the Advisory office of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Türkiye. This cooperation includes joint exercises of Border Protection structural units of Georgian and Türkiye, as well as personnel exchange and bilateral visits of vessels. Such activities support enhancing of cooperation and share the best practice of border protection issues between Georgia and Türkiye.

The parties expressed the readiness to continue close cooperation in the field of the border protection in the future.
