MIA BORDER POLICE REVEALED THE FACT OF THE VIOLATION OF THE NAVIGATION RULES – OIL TANKER UNDER THE FOREIGN FLAG WAS CHARGED

Oil Tanker “STEN NEPTUN” under the Flag of Denmark was detained by the employees of the Coast Guard Department of the Georgian Border Police for the violation of the rules of Navigation in the Georgian Territorial Waters.

Operative – Investigation Main Division of the Border Police of Georgia started proceeding towards the Captain of the Oil Tanker, the citizen of the Republic of Poland, for the violation of the rules of Navigation, in accordance to the Administrative Code of Georgia, Article 114, Part 1, “T” subparagraph.

The Captain of the Oil Tanker was charged by 50 000 lari, for the benefit of the state budget. After the payment of the fine, the Oil Tanker will be granted by the right of free Navigation.

The Employees of MIA Border Police, as a result of operative – investigative measures, on the area of responsibility of the Border Sector “Kirnati” of Batumi Division , detained 3 citizens of foreign countries: (M.A. Born in 1985; M.A. Born in 1993 and M.A. Born in 1980) for the attempt of illegal group crossing of the State Border of Georgia.
