The Head of Border Police Hosted US Under Secretary

The Head of MIA Border Police, Major General Nikoloz Sharadze met with the US Under Secretary for Arms Control and International Security, Bonnie Denis Jenkins.
The aim of the visit was to discuss the activities of the Border Police and future cooperation.
Major General Nikoloz Sharadze introduced the priority directions of the Georgian Border police, current capabilities and reforms to the US Under Secretary.
At the meeting the parties discussed the joint projects related to the Border Police and the plans of the future cooperation.

The United Kingdom (UK) Royal Navy 42 Commando Marines' instructors provided a special training course to officers of the MIA Border Police of Georgia.

14 employees of the Law Enforcement and Sea Security Tactical Divisions of the Coast Guard Department and 16 employees of the Rapid Response Main Division of the MIA Border Police have been trained in the Poti base of the Coast Guard Department of the MIA Border Police of Georgia.
