MIA Border Police detained three persons for the Human Smuggling attempt

Border Guards of MIA Border Police of Georgia, together with the prosecutor’s Office of Autonomous Republic of Adjara, based on judge’s order detained two Georgian citizens (G.G. born in 1988 and K.S. born in 1993) and one citizen of the Republic of Turkey (I. F born in 1977) on Georgia-Turkish State Border for the attempt of Human Smuggling.
The crime envisages imprisonment from 2 years up to 5 years.
According to investigation, the detained persons attempted the human smuggling of Syrian Arab Republic citizen (M.A) through green border with the truck registered on the name of the Turkish citizen (H.G).
The investigation is ongoing under the article 19-344¹, Part I of the Criminal Code of Georgia.

The Employees of MIA Border Police, as a result of operative – investigative measures, on the area of responsibility of the Border Sector “Kirnati” of Batumi Division , detained 3 citizens of foreign countries: (M.A. Born in 1985; M.A. Born in 1993 and M.A. Born in 1980) for the attempt of illegal group crossing of the State Border of Georgia.
