Ministry of Internal Affairs exposed the fact of human trafficking – 2 persons detained

The officers of Border Police along with Samtskhe-Javakheti regional prosecutor’s office as a result of jointly held investigative and operative activities exposed the fact of human trafficking in Ninotsminda municipality. Law enforcers detained father and son- B.Ts. (DoB 1960) and M.Ts. (DoB 1994) for human trafficking committed against three individuals.

Meeting of Head of the MIA Border Police of Georgia with Ambassador of Germany

The Head of the MIA Border Police of Georgia, Colonel Nikoloz Sharadze, hosted the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Georgia, Hubert Knirsch. The meeting was attended by the head of the security service of the German Embassy, officer of the German Federal Police Jamila Fischer and Security Adviser for the South Caucasus Patrick Kronberg.

USS Donald Cook entered the Territorial Waters of Georgia

The Coast Guard Department of the Border Police under the Ministry of Internal Affairs is hosting USS Donald Cook (DDG-75) in the territorial waters of Georgia. The ship was greeted by the Director of the Coast Guard Department, CAPT Ramaz Papidze and representatives of the same department.

Trucks and Fuel Tankers Delivered to the MIA Border Police

To improve the land border protection capabilities, the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has been delivered the trucks and fuel tankers with the financial support of the U.S. Embassy's Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA).
