THE SRVICEMEN OF COAST GUARD DEPARTMENT OF THE BORDER POLICE COMPLETED “ MARITIME TRAINING ON IMPROVING MINE COUNTERMEASURE CAPABILITIES”

The Servicemen of the Coast Guard Department of the Border Police completed Maritime Training on Improving Mine Countermeasure Capabilities (EP MCM DIVE 2025) in Constantsa, Romania. The training was organized by the Naval Forces of Romania and U.S. Naval Forces in Europe and Africa (USNAVEUR/AFR).

The training included both theoretical and practical activities, including: familiarization with diving equipment; safety rules before and after diving; introduction and purpose of the Hyperbaric chamber; methods of mine removal on land and underwater search methods; helicopter water-entry and extraction while wearing diving gear; diving to depths of up to 50 meters and other components.

The exercise aimed to enhance the mine clearance capabilities and interoperability of the respective units of the participating countries. After the training, the Coast Guard Department employees were awarded the relevant certificates.
