THE LAW ENFORCEMENT TACTICAL TEAM OF THE COAST GUARD DEPARTMENT OF THE GEORGIAN BORDER POLICE DEPARTURED FOR THE PARTICIPATION IN NATO OPERATION “SEA GUARDIAN”

Members of the Law Enforcement Tactical Team of the Coast Guard Department of the Georgian Border Police will participate in the NATO maritime operation “Sea Guardian.”

The Head of the Border Police of Georgia, Colonel Davit Tamazashvili, bid farewell to the 12 servicemen of the Georgian tactical unit at Tbilisi International Airport and wished them success. Colonel Davit Tamazashvili noted that this is the third time the Georgian unit is participating in the Alliance’s maritime security operation under the Operational Partner status.

The First Deputy Head of the Border Police, Giorgi Gureshidze; Deputy Head of the Border Police, Davit Bitskinashvili; Deputy NATO Core Team Leader George Peleşteanu; Program Funds Manager of the NATO–Georgia Substantial Package, Tamila Teliashvili; Director of the Coast Guard Department Iuri Pirtskhalaishvili; Head of the International Relations Division Ramaz Papidze; and Head of the Administration Vladimer Bunturidze, also bid farewell to the officers at Tbilisi International Airport.
