BORDER POLICE DETAINED 5 PERSONS FOR THE FACT OF ILEGAL CROSSING OF THE BORDER

The employees of MIA Border Police, recently, as a result of operative – investigative measures, on the area of responsibility of the Border Sector “Sarphi” of Batumi Davion, detained 5 persons of the foreign countries (O.Sh Born in 1994; G.SH. Born in 1995; P.O. Born in 1997; U.Sh. Born in 1995 and M.O. Born in 1992) for the fact of illegal crossing of the State Border of Georgia.

The crime envisages the imprisonment up to 5 years.

The investigation revealed, that accused persons avoiding the check point, from the Republic of Turkey to the direction to Georgia, hiding in the various trucks, implemented illegal crossing of the State Border of Georgia.

The investigation is ongoing under the article 344, Part I, which implies illegal crossing of the State Border of Georgia.

BORDER POLICE DETAINED 3 PERSONS AT THE STATE BORDER FOR THE ATTMEPT OF SMUGGLING OF MIGRANT AND FOR THE ATTEMPT OF ILLEGAL CROSSING OF THE STATE BORDER

Based on operational information received by the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Border Police, the Patrol Police Department, and the Customs Department of the Revenue service, through joint operational and investigative actions, arrested I.L. (born in 1983), S.D. (born in 1983), and R.A. (born in 2001) for attempting to illegally transfer two or more migrants across the state border of Georgia and attempt of illegal group crossing of the State Border.

BORDER POLICE EMPLOYEES ARE UNDERGOING FIREARMS TRAININGS

The employees of the Land Border Protection Department of the MIA Border Police are participating in the firearms exercises. The training began in February, and so far, more than 900 employees have completed the trainings.
