BORDER POLICE DETAINED 3 CITIZENS OF THE FOREIGN COUNTRIES FOR THE FACT OF IILEGAL CROSSING OF THE BORDER

The employees of MIA Border police, as a result of operative – investigative measures, on the area of responsibility of the Border Sector “Sarphi” of Batumi Division detained 3 citizens of the foreign countries (M.T. Born in 1993; U.A. Born in 1989 and H.T. Born in 1995) for the fact of illegal crossing of the State Border of Georgia.

The crime envisages the imprisonment from 3 years up to 5 years.

The investigation revealed, that accused persons avoiding the check point, from the Republic of Turkey to the direction to Georgia implemented illegal crossing of the State Border of Georgia.

The investigation is ongoing under the article 344, Part I and article 344 Part II, Subparagraph “A”, which implies illegal crossing of the State Border and illegal group crossing of the State Border of Georgia.

In the framework of the bilateral cooperation of MIA Border Police of Georgia and the Coast Guard Command of the Republic of Türkiye, the Patrol ship “Sokhumi” of the Coast Guard Department of the Georgian Border Police conducted port visit in the City of “Samsun”.
