In the framework of the bilateral cooperation of MIA Border Police of Georgia and the Coast Guard Command of the Republic of Türkiye, the Patrol ship “Sokhumi” of the Coast Guard Department of the Georgian Border Police conducted port visit in the City of “Samsun”.
In parallel of the visit of Georgian Patrol ship in the Republic of Türkiye, Turkish Patrol boat (TCSG – 87) conducted port visit in the city of “Poti”, in the base of the Georgian Coast Guard.
The experience sharing between the Coast Guard structural units of two countries, was the aim of the visits.
The joint maritime exercise was conducted by the participation of the vessels of the Georgian Coast Guard Department and the Coast Guard of the Republic of Türkiye in Georgian, as well as in Turkish territorial waters. Also, the members of the crew participated in the various sport and cultural events according the program of the visits.
The leadership of the Turkish Patrol boat and members of the delegation met the leadership of the Coast Guard Department of Georgia and the Mayor of the City “Poti”.
