THE TRAINING OF PILOTS AND TECHNICIANS OF MIA BORDER POLICE TOOK PLACE IN THE STATE BORDER GUARD OF LATVIA

The pilots and technicians of MIA Border Police of Georgia were trained in the piloting and servicing of the “Augusta Bell 206B Jetranger III type helicopter” in the State Border Guard of Latvia, Republic of Latvia.

The “Strengthening of the Georgian Border Police Capacities For Green and Sea Border Surveillance” project is ongoing with the support of the State Border Guard of the Republic Latvia and the financial assistance of the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD). In the framework of this project, the Border Police of Georgia will receive a european type Search and Rescue helicopter “Augusta Bell 206 B Jetranger III type helicopter”.

The training consisted of theoretical as well as practical aspects. In addition to studying piloting and servicing, the participants also underwent training in Integrated Border Management and Human Rights Issues.

Upon the completion of the training, the pilots and technical personnel of the Special Purpose Aviation Department of the Border Police were presented with the certificates.
