The Employees of MIA Border Police, Patrol Police Department and Custom Department of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance, as a result of the joint operative – investigative measures, detained 5 persons for illegal group crossing and migrants’ smuggling.
The crimes envisage imprisonment from 4 years up to 8 years.
The investigation revealed that the citizen of foreign country (C.T. Born in 1985) from the Republic of Turkey to Georgia, hiding in the truck trailer, avoiding the check point, smuggled the migrants, the citizens of foreign countries (V.T. Born in 1993; B.O. Born in 1965; O.G. Born in 1996 and R.G. Born in 1992).
The investigation is ongoing under the article 344, Part II, Subparagraph “A” and the article 344, Part II Subparagraph “B”.
