MIA BORDER POLICE DETAINED 2 PERSONS OF FOREIGN COUNTRIES FOR ATTEMPT OF ILLEGAL CROSSING OF THE STATE BORDER

Border Policemen of MIA Border Police carried out operative – investigative measures, on the protected area of the Border Sector “Kartsakhi” of Akhaltsikhe Division of Georgian Border Police and detained 2 persons of the Islamic Republic of Iran (B.R. Born in 1978 and A.R Born in 1978).

The crime envisages imprisonment up to 5 years.

The investigation revealed, that accused persons avoided check point and from Georgia to the direction to the Republic of Turkey tried illegal group crossing of Georgian State Border.

The investigation is ongoing under the article 19 – 344, Part II, Subparagraph “A” of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
