The Joint Maritime Operations Centre of MIA Border Police was visited by the Deputy Head of U.S. Global Maritime Operational Threat Response Coordination Center (GMCC), Mr. Brian Wilson, National Intelligence Manager for Maritime of National Maritime Intelligence – Integration Office, Mr. Joseph Cunningham and the Representative of US Coast Guard, Captain Jon Driskoll.

The visit was implemented by the initiative of US Export Control and Border Security Program (EXBS) and by the support of US Coast Guard.

US Experts conducted Table - Top exercises aimed to discuss such actual subjects and topics as: Interagency information exchange system; the role of the Centre according to the threats of the conflict regions, Maritime Domain Awareness in the framework of International Maritime Law; Interagency information exchange on the incidents on the sea and on the ports, also, experience exchange regarding floating mines.

In the Table – Top exercises were participated the permanent representatives of coordinated agencies of the Joint Maritime Operation Centre, the servicemen of Operation Management Main Division of Coast Guard and the personnel of JMOC’s Organizational and Technical Support Provision Division.
