30 employees of the Law Enforcement and Maritime Security Service of the Coast Guard Department and Rapid Response Main Division of the MIA Border Police successfully accomplished three-week training package provided by the UK’s 42 Commando Royal Marines.
The exercise was held at the Poti base of the Coast Guard department of the Border Police of Georgia. The purpose of the training was to plan and implement combat tactics, medical aid, boarding operations in closed space, namely: clearing buildings in tactical situations, providing first aid and evacuating injured persons, conducting high-risk boarding procedures, climbing to low and high altitudes using special equipment, as well as conduct of vessel board, search and seizure procedures.
At the end of the training, the participants were awarded with the training completion certificates.
