The Head of MIA Border Police, Major General Nikoloz Sharadze with Georgian delegation paid an official visit to the Republic of Turkey: in Ankara and Istanbul.
In the framework of the visit Major General Nikoloz Sharadze met the Commandant of Coast Guard of the Republic of Turkey, Rear Admiral Ahmet Kendir. During the meeting following issues have been discussed: Cooperation between two Border Agencies and the future plans.
The Commandant of Turkish Coast Guard highlighted that educational and technical support to Coast Guard of Border Police of Georgia will be continued in the future. Turkish side expressed the readiness of exchange knowledge and experience with Georgian colleagues. Rear Admiral Ahmet Kendir noted, that training of the representatives of Georgian Coast Guard will be continued at the Educational Centers of Turkey.
Head of Border Police of Georgia, Nikoloz Sharadze also, met with Coast Guard Marmara and Turkish Straits Regional Commandant, Rear Admiral (LH) Tayfun PAŞAOĞLU. Major General visited the Turkish vessels and was introduced the capabilities of the vessels on the ground.
In the Anitkabir Mausoleum, Major General Nikoloz Sharadze layed a wreath and honoured the memory of the Leader and Founding Father of the Republic of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
