Up to 200 employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are participating in inter-agency exercise "Didgori 2021", which serves to enhance coordination and interoperability between government agencies in war and crisis situations.
"Didgori 2021" drill is especially large-scale this year, as it incorporates staff participation as well as field components. It is also notable that the first time in the training, new simulation systems VBS3 (Virtual Battlefield) will be included, enabling the training participants and the training control group to monitor the ongoing events in real time and display the overall operational picture.
At the beginning of the inter-agency exercise, the field component was conducted with the participation of the representatives of the Land Border Protection Department of the Border Police and the K-9 Division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The operation was monitored by the simulated training headquarters from the command point located in the combined arms military center.
This year, the exercise is being held under the Order of the Prime Minister, planning and execution of which is headed by the Defense Forces. In the course of the exercise, the participants will have to deal with hybrid challenges, adversarial information influence operations, and disinformation.
