Our mission is to protect the state border of Georgia, the boundary line, the border zone and the Georgian maritime space, per the legislation of Georgia, to ensure the security of the country and the population.
From June 2023 till June 2024, Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia charged 225 citizens of the various countries for the illegal crossing and the attempt of illegal crossing of the State Border of Georgia, among them: 115 from the Republic of Turkiye; 22 from Republic of Georgia; 14 from the Republic of Azerbaijan; 11 - Arab Republic of Egypt; 10 - Islamic Republic of Pakistan; 10 - Republic of India; 9 - Kingdom of Morocco; 5 - Republic of Libya; 5 - Islamic Republic of Iran; 3 - Syrian Arab Republic; 3 - Republic of Uzbekistan; 2 - Palestine; 2 - United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland; 2 - Republic of Tajikistan; 1 - Republic of Sudan; 1 - State of Israel; 1 - Republic of Lithuania; 1 - Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan; 1 – Russian Federation; 1 – People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria; 1- Saudi Arabia; 1 – Republic of Kazakhstan; 1 – Republic of Moldova; 1 – Kingdom of Jordan; 1 – Federal Republic of Nigeria and 1 citizen from the Republic of Albania.
