Officers of the Border Police under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, as a result of activities, carried out on the territory of N3 Border Sector (Charali) detained 1 citizen of the Republic of Ghana and 1 citizen of Congo Republic for attempting to cross the state border of Georgia illegally.
The crime committed by the detained individuals envisages from 4 to 5 years of imprisonment.
The investigation established that the accused individuals attempted to cross Georgian state border illegally from the Republic of Turkey.
The investigation is in progress under Article 19-344, Part II, Subparagraph “A” of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
