Minister of Internal Affairs, Geka Geladze held working meetings in Samtskhe-Javakheti region

Minister of Internal Affairs, Geka Geladze held working meetings with the leadership of Samtskhe-Javakheti Police and Patrol Police Department structural units.

The Minister also visited other units of the Ministry located in the region and inspected the workspaces, equipment and facilities of the Border Police, Strategic Pipelines, Security Police, and Emergency Situations Management Service.

The working meetings were also attended by First Deputy Minister Roland Meskhi, Deputies -Mariam Tabatadze and Giorgi Butkhuzi.

Geka Geladze received detailed information from the heads of the regional Police Department regarding the fight against crime in their operational areas, crime statistics and crime-solving rates, as well as police preventive measures.

At the working meeting, the Minister focused on the priority areas of the Ministry and expressed gratitude towards the employees for their effective work.

BORDER POLICE DETAINED 2 PERSON FOR THE ILLEGAL CROSSING OF THE STATE BORDER AND FOR SMUGGLING OF THE MIGRANT IN ADJARA

The employees of MIA Border Police, Patrol Police Department and Revenue Service, according to the joint operative and investigative measures, detained 2 persons of the Republic of Türkiye (I.I. Born in 1974 and U.G. Born in 1995) for the illegal crossing of the State Border of Georgia and for smuggling of the migrant.
