HEAD OF THE BORDER POLICE MET WITH THE DEPUTY NATO CORE TEAM LEADER OF THE SUBSTANTIAL NATO – GEORGIA PACKAGE)

The Head of the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Colonel Davit Tamazashvili met with the Deputy NATO Core Team Leader of the Substantial NATO-Georgia Package (SNGP) Captain (N) Meric Kobak.
The meeting emphasized the support and involvement of the Turkish side in the implementation of activities defined within the framework of the NATO-Georgia Essential Package Maritime Security Initiative.

Davit Tamazashvili introduced Meric Kobak to the ongoing projects of the Border Police.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed and positively assessed the issues of bilateral cooperation between Georgia and the Republic of Turkey in the field of maritime security.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Heads of the Border Police, Colonel Davit Bitskinashvili and Colonel Givi Gordadze; the Head of the International Relations Division of the Border Police, 1st rank Captain Ramaz Papidze; and the representative of the NATO-Georgia Essential Package (SNGP) provisioning unit of the Euro-Atlantic Integration Department of the Ministry of Defence of Georgia, Lieutenant Colonel Giorgi Patarkatsishvili.
