BORDER POLICE DETAINED 2 PERSONS FOR THE FACT OF ILLEGAL CROSSING OF THE STATE BORDER

The employees of MIA Border Police, as a result of operative – investigative measures, on the area of responsibility of Batumi Division, detained 2 persons (M.E. Born in 1994 and O.T. Born in 1976) for the fact of illegal crossing of the State Border of Georgia.

The crime envisages imprisonment up to 5 years.

The investigation revealed that accused person (O.T) avoiding the check point from the Republic of Turkey to the direction to Georgia, implemented illegal crossing of the State Border of Georgia. Also, the accused person (M.E.), hiding in the truck, implemented illegal crossing of the State Border of Georgia.

The investigation is ongoing under the article 344, Part I, which implies illegal crossing of the State Border of Georgia.
