BORDER POLICE DETAINED 5 PERSONS OF THE FOREIGN COUNTRIES FOR THE ATTEMPT OF ILLEGAL CROUP CROSSING OF THE BORDER, ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER AND AIDING THE ATTEMPT OF ILLEGAL CROSSING OF THE BORDER

The employees of MIA Border Police, as a result of operative – investigative measures, on the area of responsibility of the Border Sector “Vale” of Akhaltikhe Division, detained 5 persons of the foreign countries.

For the attempt of illegal group crossing of the State Border and assault on a Police Officer, S.K (Born in 1993) was detained. D.E (Born in 1994) was detained for the fact of the attempt of illegal group crossing of the State Border. In addition, E.B. (Born in 2001); M.CH (Born in 2002) and A.A. (Born in 2002) were detained for the fact of the support of the attempt of illegal group crossing of the State Border of Georgia.

The crime envisages the imprisonment up to 7 years.

The investigation revealed, that accused persons E.B; M.CH and A.A. helped S.K and D.E for the reason of illegal, group crossing of the State Border of Georgia.

During the attempt at the protected section of the "Vale" sector, S.Q. and D.E. disobeyed the lawful orders of the Border Guards and resisted them. During the altercation, S.Q. injured one of the border guards with a cold weapon. Both persons, then tried to flee the scene but were apprehended shortly after by the Border Guards. Law enforcement seized the weapon used in the crime, a knife as an evidence.

The injured Border Guard received medical assistance and he is not in life-threatening condition.

The investigation is ongoing under the article 19 - 344, Part II, Subparagraph “A”; article 3531, Part I and 25 – 19 – 344 Article, Part II, Subparagraph “A”.
