THE STUDENTS OF BATUMI STATE MARITIME ACADEMY VISITED POTI BASE OF THE COAST GUARD DEPARTMENT OF BORDER POLICE

The Students of Navigation Faculty and Professors of Batumi State Maritime Academy visited Poti Base of the Coast Guard Department of MIA Border Police.
The aim of the visit was to raise awareness about the field of operations and the activities of the Georgian Coast Guard and toll introducing to the capabilities required to meet the set goals.

In the framework of the visit, the guests visited the vessels where guests were introduced with the navigation systems and auxiliary power system of the ships and boats.

The employees of the Coast Guard Department answered all the questions to the students.

The employees of MIA Border Police, Patrol Police Department and Customs Department of Revenue Service, according the joint operative and investigative actions, in the recent time, detained 4 persons of the foreign countries (E.N. Born in 1987; M.E. Born in 1966; M.Sh. Born in 1989 and K.B. Born in 1997) for illegally transfer of the migrants and for the fact of illegal crossing of the State Border.
