The Head of Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Major - General Nikoloz Sharadze met Georgian Program Manager of US Export Control and Border Security Program (EXBS) Rich Nessel and Regional Program Adviser, Karen Cheisson.

During the meeting, which was conducted at the Border Police, Nikoloz Sharadze introduced the implemented activities, results and challenges regarding the improvement of the Border Protection Managment. The sides discussed ongoing and future plans with the support of EXBS Program.

In the framework of the cooperation between Georgian Border Police and EXBS Program, the following important programs are ongoing: equipment of the Personnel of the Rapid Response Main Division, improvement of the infrastructure of the Land Border Protection, modernization of the Coast Guard Department's Vessels and development of the maintance capabilities and the skills.

Nikoloz Sharadze expressed the gratitude to the guests for the contribution of the enhancement of the capabilities of the Border Police of Georgia.
