THE COAST GUARD DEPARTMENT HOSTED THE DELEGATION OF THE REPUBLIC OF LIBANON

Military – Lebanon Maritime Forces’s Delegation visited the Base of Coast Guard of MIA Border Police and Joint Maritime Operations Centre (JMOC).

The visit is implemented by the coordination of U.S. Export Control and Related Security Assistance (EXBS) Program. The aim of the visit was exchange the best practices and learn working procedures of Georgian Coast Guard.

The guests met the Leadership of Georgian Coast Guard and received the detailed information about the missios, capabilities and goals of Georgian Coast Guard and maritime security related issues. The guests, also, visited JMOC and received the detailed information about the activities of the Centre.

BORDER POLICE DETAINED 8 CITIZENS OF FOREIGN COUNTRIES FOR THE FACT OF ILLEGAL CROSSING OF THE BORDER

The employees of MIA Border Police, as a result of operative – investigative measures, on the area of responsibility of the various Border Sectors of Batumi Division, detained 8 citizens of the foreign countries (I.D. Born in 1980; M.T. Born in 2002; A.P. Born in 1983; M.A. Born in 1977; M.R. Born in 1985; M.I. Born in 1993; O.M. Born in 1981 and G.A. Born in 1978) for the facts of illegal group crossing of the State Border of Georgia and for the attempt of illegal group crossing of the State Border of Georgia.
