In the framework of the visit, Major General Nikoloz Sharadze met with the Border and Maritime Police Commander of the Civil Guard, Lieutenant General Juan – Luis Perez Martin and with the Head of Coast and Maritime Police Division of Civil Guard, Major General Carlos Crespo Romero. The Border and Maritime Police representatives of the Civil Guard presented the information about the activities of Border and Customs Police as well as Costal and Maritime Police activities, including the specificities of fiscal and border management control.

The parties discussed the cooperation of the Border Agencies between two countries, exchanged the experiences and set future cooperation plans.

In the framework of the visit, the Head of the Border Police, Major General Nikoloz Sharadze visited the Maritime Surveillance Coordination Centre, also got introduced to the regional units of the Maritime and Border Police in Valencia where he got acquainted to the border and customs control operations on the ground.
