The Representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs participated in the Joint Maritime Operations Center’s (JMOC) Interagency Table Top Exercise (JMOC TTX 2). The exercise was organized with the support of the US Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA).
The Exercise aimed at evaluating interagency ability to respond and to manage maritime transportation safety and security incident and testing the existing Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) Capabilities. As well as, during the exercises, JMOC’s ability to detect and deter illicit movement of WMD and related materials through the maritime Doman have been assessed. In addition to that, the exercise intended practicing information sharing and MDA tacking using operational systems and developing mechanisms for sharing the information.
The representatives of the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Finance, State Security Service, Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development participated in the JMOC TTX 2 Exercise.
The Exercise was held at the Joint Maritime Operations Centre (JMOC), Sheraton Hotel (Batumi) and in Ports of Batumi and Poti.
