Newly appointed deputies of the Substantial NATO – Georgia Package (SNGP) Core teame: Captain Muzaffer Semiz and Commander Richard (Paul) Carnell, also, the Experts of Maritime security initiative (MSI): Commander Krists Krisilbs and Commander Fatih Bali, visited the Coast Guard Department of the Georgian Border Police.

 Experts visited Coast Guard base in Batumi, Joint Maritime operation Center in Supsa and GCG HQ in Poti.

Director of Georgian Coast Guard Department, Captain Ramaz Papidze hosted the guests.

The development priorities and directions of the activities of Georgian Coast Guard and JMOC were discussed during the meeting. The Experts positively evaluated implementation process of the Maritime Security Initiative Projects and expressed their readiness to support implementation of objectives defined under the maritime security initiative in the future.
