The Head of MIA Border Police, Major General Nikoloz Sharadze, held an introductory meeting with Sarah Rupert, Head of the U.S. Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL). The meeting was attended by Larry Foukas, Senior Advisor on Police Affairs at the Bureau.

During the meeting, the parties discussed border security issues and cooperation priorities.

The MIA Border Police has been cooperating with the U.S. Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) for many years. It should be noted that the radio communications systems for the land border protection were modernised under the auspices of INL.
