BILATERAL PORT VISIT WAS HELD BETWEEN GEORGIAN COAST GUARD DEPARTMENT AND THE COAST GUARD COMMAND OF THE REPUBLIC OF TüRKIYE

In the framework of the bilateral cooperation between the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Coast Guard Command of the Republic of Türkiye, the Patrol Ship "Sukhumi" of the Coast Guard Department of the Border Police was on a port visit to the city of Samsun, Türkiye.

In parallel with the visit of the Georgian Patrol Ship to the Republic of Türkiye, a port visit of the Türkish Coast Guard Vessel (TCSG-97) was carried out at the Base of the Coast Guard Department of Georgian Border Police, in the city of Poti.

Joint practical Maritime Exercises were held in Georgia and Türkiye with the participation of Georgian Coast Guard and Türkish Coast Guard vessels. During the visit, the ship crews participated in the various sports and cultural events as part of the program.

The purpose of the visits was to share experience in the field of Maritime Security between the Coast Guard Units of the two countries.
