HEAD OF THE BORDER POLICE OF GEORGIA MEETS NEWLY APPOINTED U.S. DEFENSE ATTACHÉ

Head of the MIA Border Police, Colonel Davit Tamazashvili, held an introductory meeting with the newly appointed U.S. Defense Attaché to Georgia.

During the meeting, the Head of the Border Police highlighted the fruitful cooperation between Georgia and the United States in the field of Border Protection and briefed the U.S. Embassy representatives on the Border Police’s priorities and future plans.

Both sides expressed their readiness to further deepen cooperation. Colonel Tamazashvili wished the newly appointed Defense Attaché, Colonel Jonathan Adams, success in his work in Georgia.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Heads of the Border Police, Colonel Davit Bitskinashvili and Colonel Givi Gordadze; Head of the International Relations Division of the Border Police, Captain (Navy) Ramaz Papidze; U.S. Marine Attaché, Lieutenant Colonel Rhet W. Christensen; and the Maritime Adviser of the U.S. Embassy in Georgia, Stephen Bower.
