BORDER POLICE DETAINED 8 CITIZENS OF FOREIGN COUNTRIES FOR THE FACT OF ILLEGAL CROSSING OF THE BORDER

The employees of MIA Border Police, as a result of operative – investigative measures, on the area of responsibility of the various Border Sectors of Batumi Division, detained 8 citizens of the foreign countries (I.D. Born in 1980; M.T. Born in 2002; A.P. Born in 1983; M.A. Born in 1977; M.R. Born in 1985; M.I. Born in 1993; O.M. Born in 1981 and G.A. Born in 1978) for the facts of illegal group crossing of the State Border of Georgia and for the attempt of illegal group crossing of the State Border of Georgia.

The crime envisages the imprisonment up to 5 years.

The investigation revealed, that accused persons (I.D. and M.T.) avoiding the check point, from the Republic of Türkiye to the direction to Georgia implemented illegal crossing of the State Border of Georgia.

The accused persons (A.P; M.A; M.R; M.I; O.M and G.A) avoiding the check point, tried to implement illegal group crossing of the State Border of Georgia to the direction to the Republic of Türkiye.

The investigation is ongoing, under the article 344, Part II, Subparagraph “A” and article 19 – 344 Part II, Subparagraph “A”.
