All three new European ”H145” type helicopters are in Georgia

The third "H 145" type helicopter was added to the fleet of the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia. Border police pilots brought the new helicopter from Germany to Georgia.

At the same time, all three helicopters of the European type are fully equipped with firefighting and mountain rescue equipment. Aerial means have 2 engines, which increases flight safety. "H145" type helicopters are distinguished by their ability to operate and maneuver at high altitude, which, considering the mountainous terrain of Georgia, is fully compatible with the existing tasks.

The crew of the Border Police has undergone full training at the training academy of "airbus helicopters" in Germany.

On December 19, 2022, the Ministry of Internal Affairs signed an agreement with the French company "Airbus Helicopters" regarding the purchase of three "H145" helicopters.
