BORDER POLICE DETAINED 2 PERSONS FOR THE FACT OF ILLEGAL GROUP CROSSING OF THE BORDER

The Employees of MIA Border Police, as a result of operative – investigative measures, on the area of responsibility, of the Border Sector “Sarphi” of Batumi Division, detained 1 citizen of foreign country T.E. Born in 1981 and 1 citizen of Georgia M.M. Born in 1986 for the fact of illegal group crossing of the State Border of Georgia.

The crime envisages imprisonment up to 5 years.

The investigation revealed, that accused persons avoiding the check point, from the Republic of Turkey to the direction to Georgia, implemented illegal group crossing of the State Border of Georgia.

The investigation is ongoing under the article 344, Part II, subparagraph “A” of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which implies illegal group crossing of the State Border of Georgia.
